Step 1

Take one tablet of Mifepristone

Step 2

Wait for 24 to 48 hours

How to take Mariprist

Step 3

On day two, place four tablets of misoprostol under the tongue (sublingually) and allow to dissolve for 30 minutes. Swallow the remainder with water.

How to take Mariprist

Do not take Mariprist if:

You are more than 9 weeks pregnant, have severe or persistent abdominal pain or if you have an IUD in your womb.

Side effects

What to expect after taking Mariprist

Possible side effects include moderate bleeding with passage of clots, shivering, cramping and vomiting or diarrhoea.

Warning signs

Rare complications requiring medical attention

Seek medical help if you experience heavy bleeding or no bleeding, high fever, excess cramping or abdominal pain or excess vomiting or diarrhoea.
